The resources on this page are intended to help guide researchers in understanding the strengths and limitations of using cancer registry data for research.
Historically, this page presented detailed data assessment profiles for select variables, and these assessments are in the process of being updated. Data Item Assessments will be updated with a focus on identifying outliers and data that is “fit for use” for selected variables. Additional variables will be added to the notes as well. Data Item Notes provide additional information about limitations of selected variables and the potential impact on interpretation of results. Any publications focusing on data quality and interpretation will be added to the Technical Assessments.
