Become a Member

The North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR, Inc) membership categories below describe the benefits each NAACCR member receives. The membership year is from June 1st through May 31st each year. Membership dues notices are sent to all members in June of each year.

Individual Member – $175/year

Individual members are those persons who are not currently working in a member organization who have demonstrated career and professional commitments and interests that are consistent with or complementary to those of NAACCR. Candidates for Individual Membership must be able to demonstrate involvement or activity in one or more of the following areas: cancer surveillance or registration, cancer epidemiology, patient care, cancer control, professional education, research, and biostatistics. Each candidate must make a commitment to support NAACCR through active participation in the activities of the Association. Individual members shall be entitled to participate and vote as a member of committees. Individual members may chair subcommittees; which include NAACCR Workgroups and Taskforces.

Individual membership benefits include:

  • Having the individual’s name published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory and the NAACCR website.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.
  • Access to the NAACCR Geocoder.
  • Access to CiNA data after RaPR approved.

Retired Member – $50/year

Retired Individual members are those persons who are not currently working in a member organization who are fully retired from full-time work. They have demonstrated career and professional commitments and interests that are consistent to NAACCR.

Retired membership benefits include:

  • Having the individual’s name published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory and the NAACCR website.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.
  • Access to the NAACCR Geocoder.
  • Access to CiNA data after RaPR approved.

International Member – $175/year

This membership is available to individuals or organizations from countries other than the United States (Territories) and Canada. Candidates for International Membership must be able to demonstrate involvement or activity in one or more of the following areas: cancer surveillance or registration, cancer epidemiology, patient care, cancer control, professional education, research, and biostatistics. Each candidate must make a commitment to support NAACCR through active participation in the activities of the Association. International members shall be entitled to participate and vote as a member of committees. International members may chair subcommittees. International members may not chair a committee, vote on matters brought before the Membership at the Annual Meeting, nor vote for or hold an elected position in the Association.

International membership benefits include:

  • Having the individual’s name published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory and the NAACCR website.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.
  • Access to the NAACCR Geocoder.
  • Access to CiNA data after RaPR approved.

Full Member – $650/year

Full member organizations are central registries in the United States (Territories) or Canada (Territories), which are, or have the potential to become, population-based registries.

Full membership benefits include:

  • Having data published in CiNA.
  • Eligible for NAACCR Registry Certification.
  • Receiving voting privileges for election of NAACCR officers.
  • Receiving voting privileges at the annual business meeting.
  • Running for election as a representative from an organization.
  • Being published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory on the website.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Being recognized each year with a certificate of appreciation if serving on a committee.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.
  • Access to the NAACCR Geocoder with 1,000,000 free processing credits for each. Further credits allotted upon request.

Sustaining Member – For-Profit: $3,000/year or Non-Profit: $950/year

Sustaining member organizations are organizations interested in promoting the purposes of the Association. No action taken by the Association shall be construed as committing any sustaining member organization to a prescribed course of action. Each sustaining member organization may designate one or more representatives from such organization to participate in the Association’s affairs on behalf of such organization. Sustaining member organizations shall not be entitled to vote, and their representatives shall not be entitled to hold office. Representatives from sustaining member organizations may be a member of and chair a committee.

Sustaining membership benefits include:

  • Having the organization’s name published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory and the NAACCR website.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.

NOTE: Sustaining member organizations shall not be entitled to vote, and their representatives shall not be entitled to hold office.

Sponsoring Member – $5,000/year

Sponsoring member organizations are national professional or national governmental organizations primarily involved in any of the following areas: cancer surveillance or registration, cancer epidemiology, patient care, cancer control, professional education, research, or biostatistics. Each sponsoring member organization shall be entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to membership vote. No action taken by the Association shall be construed as committing any sponsoring member organization to a prescribed course of action. Each sponsoring member organization may designate one or more representatives from such organization to participate in the Association’s affairs on behalf of such organization. Representatives of sponsoring member organizations may be a member of and chair a committee. Only one representative of a sponsoring member organization shall be entitled to cast that organization’s vote.

Sponsoring membership organization benefits include:

  • Receiving voting privileges for election of NAACCR officers.
  • Receiving voting privileges at the annual business meeting.
  • Running for election.
  • Having the organization’s name published in NAACCR lists such as the Membership Directory, on the Web site, and getting their name listed on the NAACCR letterhead.
  • Receiving reduced rates to attend the Annual Conference.
  • Serving on NAACCR committees.
  • Access to updated Standard Volumes and CiNA, and other published reports from NAACCR.
  • Receiving recognition each year with a certificate of appreciation if serving on a committee.
  • Participating in the NAACCR Member Award Recognition Program.
