Before you release 16D I have a question about edits on C58.9 (Placenta) with 9100/3 (choriocarcinoma). A client & I get edit name Primary Site, N 2016 – Ed 7 (COC-NPCR) when using the 16C metafile.
We only have 1 option for path or clin N in our s/w. Both p0 and c0 equal Not Applicable for the description of the code. If you look at the AJCC 7 XLS for staging posted on the NCDB website (I attached screenshot for Ch 39) you’ll see there is only an option of 0 for the path & clin N values.
I tested with the 16D metafile & I got the same 3 edits. I saw Admin notes for 16 D changes but none of them were related to C58.9 (Ch 39 in AJCC 7). Can you take a look at this edit for me?
    Thank you

    Hi Sandra,
We checked with AJCC and there was a typo on the spreadsheet that you used for your pull down menus. The spreadsheet indicated that N0 was valid for Gestational Trophoblastic Tumors. That is incorrect. As you know, the chapter for this site (pg 439) does not define any N values. The edits expect an 88 to be used in both the cN and pN data items. The edit will also allow a blank as well.

We will not be changing the edits at this time. I would recommend that registrars either enter an 88 or just leave the field N fields blank for primaries of this site.
