CINA Deluxe Analytic File

Overview

This data file is released to 1.) member researchers who are interested in using the data for cancer surveillance research and 2.) NAACCR Committees/Subcommittees for approved analyses. An application must be submitted and approved by NAACCR before the file can be accessed. Applications for the CINA Deluxe Analytic File are accepted quarterly up to the following deadlines: August 15th, November 15th, February 15th, and May 15th. CINA Deluxe applications will be reviewed by the NAACCR Research Proposal Review Subcommittee following its Operations and Procedures Manual.

If you are interested in using NAACCR CINA Deluxe Analytic Data for a special project or study, outlined below are the first steps you should take before submitting an application request.

1. Review the variable list in Instructions for CINA Deluxe Investigators to determine if the file contains the data you need for your analysis.
2. If you are not a Full Member Registry, contact a NAACCR registry member or other NAACCR member and discuss your proposal idea to determine if it feasible based on available CINA Deluxe data. Request that the NAACCR registry or other member provide you a letter of support for your study.
3. Have a working knowledge of cancer surveillance methods and an understanding of the data coding schemes used for your proposed study period.
4. Review the cancer registries and data years included in CINA Deluxe data file and understand each respective NAACCR certification level.
5. Thoroughly review the NAACCR CINA Deluxe Application Instructions and the Instructions for CINA Deluxe Investigators.
