This position is responsible for assuring the quality of the Cancer Registry data and training the cancer reporting workforce in Vermont.
Quality assurance tasks include: visually reviewing and correcting incoming data; merging records submitted from multiple hospitals for each individual's cancer; notifying reporting sources of quality problems; identifying and correcting recurrent quality issues; and conducting quality assurance audits.
Training activities include: conducting technical support site visits for data reporters and conducting workshops for the cancer reporting workforce to review new standards while highlighting quality assurance goals.
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR®) credentials and two years of experience in cancer registry quality assurance settings are required.
Salary range $42,869 - $66,976 (Pay Grade 23)
