Job Description:
Performs moderately complex technical work in the planning, monitoring and implementing of the quality assurance operations and cancer registration guidelines in the Texas Cancer Registry (TCR) Cancer Epidemiology and Surveillance (CES) Branch. Work involves providing moderately consultative and technical services to the quality assurance staff within CES and planning, monitoring and implementation of quality assurance policy and procedures in the CESB. In conjuction with the Central Training Team evaluates and provides direction on updates to the Texas Cancer Registry (TCR) Reporting handbook, policy and procedure manuals and other training resources. Conducts data quality review and analysis to ensure reliability, completeness, consistency and comparability of cancer data. Work is performed under the limited direction of the Quality Assurance Manager and Team Lead with limited latitude for the use for initiative and independent judgment.
Initial Selection Criteria:
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or CTR eligible. Experience consolidating medical data
