This position is located in the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease (HPCD) Division, Chronic Disease and Environmental Epidemiology (CDEE) Section, Minnesota Cancer Surveillance System (MCSS) Unit.
The position is responsible for the development of use of data collected by the Minnesota Cancer Surveillance System (MCSS) for describing and assessing the access to, quality, and costs of cancer care in Minnesota and the impact of cancer control programmatic efforts in Minnesota. The position designs and leads investigations of various forms of cancer, devises methods to perform program evaluation, and assists in the development of policies and procedures for new and existing programs. The position also advises physicians, other health professionals and the public on cancer occurrence, cancer prevention, and access to care.
